Current Research Rates

The Hopland Research & Extension Center (HREC) is soliciting proposals for new and continuing research projects for the period July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. HREC will continue to accept off-cycle proposals throughout the 2024-2025 year as long as resources are available to meet the needs of the project. 

If you would like to apply for funds to support your research at HREC, you may also wish to apply for the Hopland Scholars Research Award.

Research Rates are approved on an annual basis. Rates for the 2024-25 research year have not yet been approved, but will be posted soon. The following rates are for the 2023-24 research year.

Proposals may be submitted into the Universal Review System via the Hopland REC Website (hrec.ucanr.edu/Research/Submitting_a_Proposal).

The Center’s Research Advisory Committee will evaluate the proposed research and extension for scientific merit, regional appropriateness, ability of Hopland REC to provide the requested service. Researchers will receive by email a letter of acceptance if the project is approved for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. Projects not approved will receive a detailed explanation of the reason for denial from the Center Director.
