Purchase Lamb direct from HREC


Our lambs are raised on the various pastures here at HREC in the mountains east of Hopland. They are finished for the last couple of weeks with a supplement portion of grain and alfalfa while still freely grazing on our rangelands.

Our lamb is USDA processed and shrink-wrapped for best storage in the freezer. Because we are not primarily a retail operation, we are offering our lamb meat in three box sizes with a variety of cuts (see below for details).

All lamb orders must be collected from our site at 4070 University Road, Hopland CA 95449. We do request that you place your order no later than 2 days before you wish to collect it, so that we have the time to get the order ready. Pick up is available between 9am and 3pm business days, pick up outside of these times might be available with prior arrangement.  All meat is frozen, vacuum-sealed, and labeled with cut type and weight. The various cuts will be placed in a box. Please be sure to arrive with a cooler or other safe way to transport your frozen lamb. Immediately return to a freezer any lamb which you are not preparing to immediately eat.
