Rod Shippey Hall Rocks!

Jul 25, 2014

After a generous "split-value" donation of patio-pavers by Friedman's Home Improvement for areas and paths around the Rod Shippey Hall at the UC Hopland Research & Extension Center, the HREC staff has begun the process of laying the largest patio space on the northeast side.  This space is the "break-out session" space from the "Extension Room", where large trifold doors can be quickly opened to allow the people outside onto the patio space.

Based upon HREC's small group of volunteers that form the landscape committee, according to plan there are be large rocks placed as "inclusions" within the patio space.    These rocks, along with galvanized trough planters, will provide a roughness to an otherwise linear patio space, as well as providing an occasional resting spot for someone to sit.

So, now you know the subject matter of the title "Rod Shippey Hall Rocks!"  Please check out both photos below.
